*Week 4
I went to Imagine Dragons’ concert in Guangzhou, March 20th. The atmosphere is vivid and some of my favorite songs are played, like Birds and Bad Liar. I kept singing the lyrics during the full concert. After the concert Conrad asked me to go to a British pub, we drank beers with his friends.

*Week 5
This weekend I rode a bike with my friends to Sea World. There’s a grand original English drama on a boat, and we hang around the big ship designed for tourists. We watched the show together, enjoy the fetching epic melody performed in English.

*Week 6
I went to Beijing this Thursday to meet my boyfriend, who is in an exchange in Peking University this semester. We listened to San Holo and Porter Robinson together. He taught me basic concept of abstract algebra in English to prepare for my midterm.

*Week 7
Midterms start now as it’s supposed to be. We had a prensentation introducing our inventions and practised listening with our textbooks. I believe that the way the textbook is written is great for our English ability. How I wish I could squeeze time to go through the whole book!

*Week 8
On Saturday my boyfriend and I are in Zhuhai for VAC, a grand electronic music festival in China. My favorite DJ Porter Robinson played his famous song Cheerleader.
“She’s got hearts in her eyes,
Sayin, boy you better watch the time,
Cus if you’re not mine,
I’d rather see you burned alive”
I love it.

*Week 9
We had our SE3 midterms this week. We listened to records so we can write essays during the first part of class, and we listened to two listening sessions. The British accent is so difficult to understand.

*Week 10
For those miserable nights when I cry in my bed, I listen to Porter Robinson and The Midnight. Music gives me lots of courage in the face of life. I start to practise my speaking somehow. I also attend Conrad’s Thursday class held for the staffs in SUSTech, playing a role as teaching assistant.

*Week 11
Universal Studios in Beijing is such a wonderful place for fun. In the Minion’s Land the radio plays YCMA, which also appears in related films. I didn’t note that before. There are many foreigners who tour around, and I chat with a little girl, and give her a unicorn toy.

*Week 12
On Friday night, Ivy and I go for a French music drama Don Juan. Although I select French course during this semester, I still can’t understand what they are saying. It does give me some passion in French, so now I decide to practice my writing skills in English and French.

*Week 13
I found probably my year’s favourite album, RAYE’s THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE. Songs in the collection are delicatedly arranged, their symphony is innovative, and RAYE totally shows off her artistic musical talent. RAYE not only retains her characteristic emotional delivery style, but also immerses herself in the romantic texture of classic Hollywood melodramas.
